Took this picture late last summer before the ants took over the hummingbird feeder and we took it down for the season. When the ants find the feeder they can really take over. Generally this happens late in the season right before the hummers head south so it is not a big deal.
We really enjoy these fellows.

These guys run off all of the other hummingbirds – rude behavior to say the least. Often when we are having dinner on the deck they dive bomb us and our guests who are wearing red.
I processed this image in Photoshop and used the poster edges artistic filter to achieve what I believe is an interesting alternative to the “post card” shot.
