Every evening around 5pm a local farmer puts meat scraps out along the highway from Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. Within minutes numerous eagles appear and begin swooping in to pick up the scraps for their dinners. Many people pull off to the side of the road, get out of their cars and come watch these magnificent birds. Here is an image of one eagle at the top of a tree.
