Redwoods are the most magnificent trees I have ever seen. Big Basin State Park, north of Santa Cruz has some great examples of the species. Pictured today is a tree that would yield excellent burl wood, but who would want to cut it down. There are many that fall. When they do, they may be recycled into beautiful human-made art.
Amazing and I agree with you dear Richard. I wished to see them there too… Thank you, with my love, nia
Hi,
What a spectacular tree, just amazing.
Hey, thanks for liking my blog post! Checked out your site, and what do I find but a fabulous picture of my beloved redwoods in Big Basin — I grew up in San Francisco and still miss them terribly. Truly the most awe-inspiring trees. Cheers!
So what part of the world do you live in now?
