The book contains two sections. The first is a “how To” containing the technical information required to buy or sell a company, form joint ventures, raise capital, perform merger integration, choose the most tax effective legal entity, and the reasons why mentoring is an important skill. The second section contains case studies that refer back to the technical information and why the selected choices were made.

My audience for this book includes tax and legal professionals involved with this kind of work, owners of small businesses evaluating growth alternatives, corporate development professionals, and teaching faculty and students pursuing MBA or similar degrees.
