I took this picture one evening while we still had sufficient sunlight to get a good shot. This Rufus is a greedy guy, chasing all of the other hummingbirds away from the feeder even when he is not there. I applied the poster edges of Photoshop CS5 to get this image.
Passing Through . . . . 
You get a double like on this one. Last year a little hummingbird got trapped on my backporch, and I managed to catch him to set him free. He played dead on me. I thought I’d killed him for a minute, but when I opened my hand in the backyard it soared into the treetops. Thank goodness. I’d have been heartbroken, otherwise. 🙂

At that time we did not have a lens good enough to photograph birds yet.
