This is what has become of Cannery Row now that Monterey California’s economy has shifted from fishing fish to fishing tourists. If I seem somewhat hypocritical, I readily admit that I enjoy this much more than I would have in the old days. You can still find fishing places all over the coast. You can also find a whole lot of cafes and t-shirt shops too.

I don’t mind some of these places. When I go on a holiday, I like to buy something as a memory of that place, usually something small and easy to pack, with the name of the place, or an emblem that is unique to that area, harder to do than what it sounds in a lot of cases. 🙂
Sometimes wondering through shops like this you just may find something.
