Went on a hike at Big Elk Meadow a couple of days ago with my wife and our dog Marcel.
We were hiking from about 11 until 1 when the sun was high in the sky, making the lighting difficult. We did get a few ok pictures with my point and shoot camera.
This is a few across the meadow. We had traversed the path through the trees and were crossing the meadow.

Just scrolling through blogs and your picture of the meadow and the trees and mountains caught my eye, looks beautiful.
Both are beautiful pictures, the second one captures a beautiful gradient of colour changing from the field to the trees, distant mountains and the sky…. Lovely.
Glad I stumbled upon them, makes me feel like I’ve taken a trip there, all the way from Australia!
